Year: 1967
Manufacturer: Unknown
Condition: Good condition
First edition vintage collectable

There are few collectable items from the Bonanza tv series, which ran from 1959 to 1973. This tin drinking cup was sold as a souvenir for tourists visiting the location used for outdoor filming of the Bonanza television series. The cup says “Ben Cartright’s Ponderosa Ranch” and features the show’s star, Lorne Greene on one side, and a photo of the Ponderosa at Lake Tahoe on the other side. This is authentic vintage, with some rust on the inside and bottom of the cup. These are getting harder and harder to find.

Year: 1999
Manufacturer: McFarlane Toys
Condition: Mint condition in mint package
First edition vintage collectable

Yeah baby! It’s the one and only Austin Powers, nearly naked with a chest full of curly hair. Wearing only Union Jack underwear, Austin is totally shagadelic! This toy made the news in 1999 when some found the text on the package and the randy phrases a little too “adult” for children. There were multiple versions. This one has Austin saying “Do I make you horny baby, do I?” on the front, and includes a sexy dictionary, along with a mirror, a martini glass and olive on a stirrer. The martini glass and olive stirrer were very small parts, and removed from later versions because of the choking hazard. A second version was made with different phrasing (see other model by clicking here).

Austin is about 6” tall, and in his original packaging, which is in mint condtion. Mike Meyers provides the voice, which is in the base. The tab has never been pulled on either version, so it should speak when removed, but it’s not guaranteed. (Why would you ever open it anyway baby?)

2004 Arnold Schwarzenegger Montage Limited Edition Signed Print by Nick Shotwell

Artist: Nick Shotwell
Condition: Near mint condition print in fair condition frame
First edition vintage collectable

This limited edition signed print of Arnold Schwarzenegger is drawn by illustrator Nick Shotwell. The story reads like a fairytale, but it’s true, and it goes like this. Schwarzenegger was at a prominent bodybuilding and sports event in Columbus, Ohio. Artist Nick Shotwell attended the event and brought along a montage of portraits he had drawn of his idol, hoping Schwarzenegger would autograph it. Somehow, he managed to get backstage, and he stationed himself beside Schwarzenegger’s waiting limousine.

Not only did he get an autograph, but he got a call from Schwarzenegger’s secretary a week later asking if he could create some more artwork for him. “It was amazing,” recalls Shotwell. “He was my number-one idol and it meant a lot to me that he thought I was a talented artist. Had I not met him, I don’t know if I would have had the confidence to believe I could do art for a living and become a medical animator.”

The print measures 18 1/4″ x 24 1/4″ and is in near mint condition. It comes in a basic black metal frame with plexiglas that has some signs of age, including a few dings and scratches. Would look best re-framed but the current one has helped protect the artwork.
